KID’S SUMMER CAMP (5-12 YRS OLD)
ABOUT: ABADÁ-Capoeira SF experiential camp is full of fun, friends, and learning! Campers spend the day learning Capoeira and maculelê movements; play different Capoeira instruments and rhythms; sing songs in Portuguese; and play Capoeira-based games that accentuate team building, leadership, and cooperation.
Campers will experience other activities throughout the week, such as: performance skills, writing, reading, artwork, and more. Campers not only learn acrobatic and self-defense movements but also use them to improvise and create in collaboration with other students, even online! Finally, campers work throughout the week in preparation for their end of session performance presented on the final day of camp for friends and family at noon online via Zoom or in person! Camp is led by Mestra Márcia Cigarra, Instrutor Soldadinho, and Instrutor Papagaio.
THE DETAILS: ABADÁ-Capoeira SF offers Summer Camp Sessions during June, July, and August. Camps run from 9 am – 4 pm, Monday – Friday, and are open to kids ages 5-12 years old. Youth can attend one session, or sign up for multiple sessions. Before and after care is available upon request.

Note: Camp is a popular program and some sessions have already filled up. Parents are encouraged to use the online enrollment form to join the waiting list.
RATES PER CHILD
SUMMER CAMP
- Ages: 5 – 12 (New students are welcome!)
- Number of Students: Min 10, Max 20
- One Week Session: $400 per child
- Early Bird Single Session Price: $350
- Discounts: multiple sessions & sibling discounts, $350 per session/child
- Before & After Care: $20 hour/per child/camp (upon request in advance)
- Cancellations made later than two weeks prior to the start of the session are subject to a $30 admin fee per registration.

ACTIVITY sample day
Campers will take many breaks throughout the day for snacks and activities given by the instructor such as: reading, writing, or art work.
- 9:00am – 9:15am Drop off time
- 9:15am – 10:00am Capoeira Class
- 10:00am – 10:30am snack BREAK and or play time
- 10:30am – 11:15am Capoeira, Maculelê or Music class
- 11:15am – 12:00pm Guest teacher or different project
- 12:00pm – 1:15pm BREAK (Lunch time) and free play time
- 1:15pm – 2:00pm Capoeira, Maculelê or Music class
- 2:00pm – 2:30pm Snack BREAK and or play time
- 2:30pm – 3:30pm Capoeira, Maculelê or Music Class
- 3:30pm – 3:40pm Quick water break
- 3:40pm – 4:00pm Final activity and get ready for pick up
Wednesdays: 11:45am – 2pm Walk to Dolores Park for lunch and free time. Students will be back at ACSF by 2pm
Fridays: 3pm – 3:30pm Hybrid performance for families and friends via Zoom or in person. A unique link will be provided for each camp.
