Our Performance Troupe
Since 1992, the ACSF Performance Troupe has been producing and presenting athletic and spirited performances that preserve and promote Afro-Brazilian culture.
Under the artistic direction of internationally-renowned Capoeira artist Márcia Treidler, the ensemble has presented over 1,000 performances at ticketed venues, schools, cultural events, and outdoor festivals throughout Northern California. ACSF’s performances provide an unforgettable live experience of skill, artistic beauty, and tradition. A full-length performance typically includes a maculelê demonstration followed by a brief history of Capoeira and a Capoeira presentation to live music.
They can be 5 to 45 minutes long, and we make every effort to design our program to meet your needs. Rates vary based on venue, content, and length; non-profit rates are available. Please note that the ensemble requires a flat, dry, clean space of approximately 30’x30′.
