Members $7; General $18 (includes Museum admission) ABADÁ-Capoeira, an Afro-Brazilian martial art, fuses acrobatics, dance, percussion and song. African slaves in Portuguese-colonized Brazil developed this rigorous form of self-defense. ABADA shows how they camouflaged the art with music, song, and dance so they could practice it undetected.
