Thank you to everyone who came out to our welcome roda for Professor Jabuti, our first long-term resident artist from Brazil.
Our staff and board worked for years to implement a formal extended-stay residency program to expand the capacities of our artist staff and school; we’re proud to say that Professor Jabuti is now in San Francisco and that he’ll begin teaching in September.
While the bulk of relocation work is done, our newest teacher still needs long-term affordable housing—San Francisco is famously unaffordable for those who pursue careers in the arts.
