
Carnaval San Francisco Parade – May 25, 2025!
Join the ABADÁ-Capoeira San Francisco Contingent! Celebrate with us at Carnaval San Francisco, the city’s premier multicultural extravaganza that brings together communities from around the world. We’re thrilled to announce that ABADÁ-Capoeira San Francisco will be in the 7th spot in this year’s Carnaval SF Parade! Come be part of the celebration as we fill the streets of the Mission District with the vibrant rhythms, movement, and joy of Capoeira and Maculelê.
Rehearsals start in April
Held at our Capoeira Arts Center, rehearsals are open to all students, friends, and family—no Capoeira experience needed!
Schedule and Route
The parade officially starts at 10am. ABADÁ-Capoeira SF Lineup #7 It will get into position around 9am and start moving to 24th and Harrison at 9:30am. The route is approximately 1.2 miles – from 24th and Bryant, along 24th to Mission Street, then turning right onto 15th Street, officially ending on 15t Street and Harrison. If the parade starts on time we should be done by 11am.
This year’s theme, “AfroMundo: African Diaspora in the Americas,” highlights the powerful cultural roots we represent through Capoeira. Let’s come together to honor, share, and celebrate these traditions in one of San Francisco’s most iconic festivals.
