
Professor Jabuti and Professora Iguana are in full effect and teaching several new classes at our school. If you missed the news, these elite capoeristas from Brazil are our first long-term artists-in-residence, and they’re already lending so much energy to our community. Check out their new classes, below, and don’t miss the chance to learn from them.
Sundays, 11:30am – 12:30pm
Fitness > Professora Iguana
Non-capoeira students are especially welcome. Join us for a fun and energizing fitness class and get a full-body workout. And bring a friend!
Mondays, 6 – 7pm
Beginners’ Capoeira > Professora Iguana (yellow cord + lower only)
This is the place for beginners to focus on the basics.
Mondays, 7 – 8pm
Mobility > Professora Iguana
Enhance your mobility, and movement capacity, while building body awareness. This class is designed to help you move better, feel stronger, and improve overall physical performance. No capoeira experience required—everyone is welcome!
Fridays, 5 – 6pm
Berimbau Class > Professor Jabuti
Practicing with the berimbau is an essential part of capoeira, as it sets the rhythm and energy for the game. Mastering this instrument helps deepen your connection capoeira. Bring your berimbau, or let us know if you need one.
